Explore... Planning For Progression In The Performing Arts Classroom

A twilight workshop for Stagecoach Teachers (Early Stages & Main Stages), Managers and Principals... because we love Stagecoach so much - we cannot wait for the term to start!

Planning is not a paper exercise…

Whether you're new to Stagecoach teaching or would just like a refresh on great practice, this session explores planning and progression through engaging activities and professional conversation. This workshop will support practitioners in delivering high quality performing arts teaching and learning!

This online workshop addresses some of the challenges in facilitating performing arts lessons such as effective student engagement, lesson pace and structure and planning for all groups of learners.

Subjects covered to include:

  • engaging starters and plenaries
  • progression using the Educational Framework
  • use of play and games as tools for learning
  • inclusive practice with Performing Arts
  • planning for student progression
  • adaptive teaching for specific groups
  • pace and structure
  • understanding objectives and learning outcomes

There will be a 'soft ending' where delegates can stay on to speak to the facilitators and ask questions about their own contexts.
