“Beware the Ides of March.”

A warning that has been become infamous due to the dramatic downfall of Roman dictator Julius Caesar. Shakespeare’s play follows not only Caesar’s feuding with his Senate, but the psychological turmoil and dilemma of loyalty of one of his friends, Brutus.

Political tensions mixed with personal jealousies drive conspirators to plan one of history’s most impactful assassinations. Does Brutus believe the plan is for the greater good of the Roman Empire? How does one justify the bloodshed of not only a ruler, but a friend?
