'Summer in Dorset' - All Things Aquatic Theme  

• Our day will begin with an opportunity to get hands-on, helping to care for our various farm animals – including pigs, goats, chickens and Jenny the horse!

• For lunch, learn to make tasty and nutritious pizzas in our innovative wood fired oven. This will be accompanied by a delicious fresh salad that you can pick from our organic vegetable garden. For pudding, whizz up fruit smoothies on stationary bikes

• After lunch we will explore a safe section of the River Axe, where families will have the opportunity to build model rafts (to be raced down the river), paddle in the cool refreshing water and use nets to find the weird and wonderful creatures that call the river home!

Magdalen Farm is 132 acres of organic farm, woodlands, streams and river bank where you can spend a day outdoors getting back in touch with nature.

Embracing Magdalen’s rural surrounding, we will use natural materials from the land to make unique mementos for you to take home.

Summer in Dorset days out are for low income families whose children are eligible for free school meals.
