Bourne Westfield Primary Academy
In response to the release of the new national plan for music education, join Becky Beavis (Arts Director and Music Lead for Platinum Artsmark School Bourne Westfield Primary Academy and Keystone Academy Trust) for three practical, progressive sessions.
These sessions are suitable for specialists and non-specialists alike and aim to build your knowledge and confidence in successfully leading music in your school and developing yourself as a practitioner and leader. There will be opportunities, at each session, to engage practically with the Music National Curriculum.
Session 1: Developing the Music Curriculum - Tuesday 28th February 2023
Session 2: The Role of Cultural Capital - Tuesday 16th May 2023
Session 3: Preparing for an Ofsted Deep Dive - Wednesday 21st June 2023
During the sessions, Becky will cover:
• The Power of Music to Change Lives (2022)
• The Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (including Cultural Capital)
• The Ofsted Research Review Series
• The Model Music Curriculum
