Terms and Conditions and further information

Refunds

If you are unable to attend a session that is going ahead, you are not entitled to a refund.  However, as a gesture of goodwill, we will consider refunds if the request is received more than 7 days in advance of the event. Please note: We are charged fees for processing payments so any refund requests will be paid less our fee charges.  For a £12 ticket this will mean a refund of £10.80.  If you used a discount code to when purchasing your ticket, this will also be reflected in the refunded amount.  (Applicable for bookings made after 7/11/23)

In windy conditions when it is not safe to use our woodland, we may have to cancel the session, but we will try to provide an alternative outdoor space away from tree-cover or postpone to another day.  If we need to cancel the session you will be offered a refund (less any processing fees) or the opportunity to join us on another session (if space is available).

General Information

Our Mini Explorer sessions are most suitable for children aged 2 - 4 years. You are welcome to bring younger siblings along too, but we ask that each adult brings a maximum of 2 children.

  • Whilst at Carymoor Parents/Carers are responsible for their children and must supervise them at all times.
  •  Our staff are all first aid trained and will carry first aid kits but the responsibility for any first aid rests with the parent/carer.
  • As we share our site with a landfill/ waste transfer station, staff instructions must be followed at all times and you must not leave the woodland area without a member of staff.

The sessions run from 10am until 12noon. Please arrive promptly so we have lots of time for outdoor play!

If you are running late or cannot make the session please let us know by calling 01963 351350 (on the day Beth’s mobile 07791 048344) so we are not waiting for you.

  • Each session will take place outdoors in our woodland and nature reserve and will go ahead whatever the weather (except high winds*/extremely heavy rain). So please make sure you and your child ‘dress for mess’ and ready for the weather conditions on the day. Long trousers and enclosed shoes/wellies are ideal as there is a chance of picking up ticks onsite as we have deer. Bringing a change of clothes for your child is a good idea too!
  • After a short starter activity while we wait for everyone to arrive, each session starts and ends with a short walk to/from the woods (10 minutes approx. at toddler pace). You are very welcome to bring a buggy for this if you feel your child will struggle.
  • During each session we will provide a snack/drink, so please inform us of any allergies/intolerances you or your child may have. You are welcome to bring your own snack and drink if you prefer.
  • Our education centre has toilets and baby changing facilities and we will encourage everyone to use these before we leave for the woods. We have a simple camping-style toilet at the woods too.

If you have any questions or queries please don’t hesitate to contact Beth on 01963 351350, or e-mail beth.coleman@carymoor.org.uk
