EDIG does Galentines Day!

Networking Event for Women in the School of Engineering

What you need to know

The School of Engineering Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity Group (EDIG) are delighted to invite all female identifying staff from all staff categories across the school to join us for a Galentines* brunch and celebrate the United National Women and Girls in Science Day (February 11th).

This event will be an informal, networking style, with lots of opportunity to catch up with colleagues old and new.

We'll be capturing images on the day and taking group photos which will be used for promotional purposes across the school, and to align with the International Women in Engineering Day on June 23rd.

There'll be opportunity to hear about EDIGs work towards gender equality, our Athena SWAN Silver award, ongoing initiatives and provide input into current and future initiatives.

To aid promotion of you, the women in engineering, we'll be offering the opportunity for attendees to have a professional headshot taken on the day.

As this is the first event of its kind, we are uncertain of demand. As such, space will be available on a first come basis, and if there is appetite, we aim to run further meet ups in the coming months.
