Keystone Academy Trust are hosting a Geography training session with Gyles Morris, Director of Naturesbase on Wednesday 26th April 2023, from 9.15am - 3pm at Long Sutton County Primary School.

We will be exploring enquiry-based geography learning through effective fieldwork that challenges pupils and utilises both high quality resources and opportunities available on your school grounds for EYFS through to Year 6.  

Aims and Objectives

  • Understand the key principles of designing and resourcing a challenging and progressive geography curriculum.
  • Gain practical experience in high quality geography fieldwork exploring key areas such as weather, sustainability, settlements and ecosystems.
  • Review a vast range of CPD materials to support the development of effective practice.
  • With increased confidence, engage in effective enquiry and investigative learning.

The cost is £99 per person and this includes lunch.

Gyles Morris is a leading provider of outdoor learning. As founder Director of Naturesbase, an environmental education centre in Wales, he is a true example of someone who ‘walks the talk’.  He works nationally and internationally with teachers and children at all stages of learning in variety of indoor & outdoor classroom settings.  He is a guest lecturer at the Institute of Education, ULC, London and at the Royal Geographical Society.
