A Christian gathering to learn about, and share, in our limited abilities. We will hear from diverse voices about the experience of living with, and sharing in, disability; we will learn about disability and the church; and we will share music and a dramatised reading as we worship.

·      Plenary: David and Debbie Ford. David is the recently-retired Regius Professor of Divinity at the University of Cambridge and Debbie is an Anglican priest, hospital chaplain and psychotherapist. Both are involved in Lyn’s House.

·      Preacher: Bishop Stephen Conway. Stephen is the Bishop of Ely

·      Communion service led by Rev James Hickish. James is an Anglican priest and former headteacher.

·      Catherine Price, a Parish Nurse at Cambourne: making a church accessible

·      Ros Hunt, representing the Deaf Church: deaf people, sign language and church

·      Jan Payne, musician and lay canon at Ely Cathedral: hidden disability

·      Sue Evans, former Parish Nurse, Burwell: caring for carers

·      Dan Smith, from Lyn’s House: sharing in community

·      Jacqueline Atkinson: CBM UK, the overseas disability charity

Lyn's House. This is a community of four young men and women who live together in community, committing to pray together and to provide hospitality and build friendships with people with intellectual disabilities around Cambridge. The creation of Lyn's House was inspired by the worldwide L'Arche movement, and as such strives to provide a hospitable environment where people with different gifts and vulnerabilities can come together to enjoy each other's company and friendship in the house on a regular basis.  The initiative is supported by, but not formally affiliated with, L'Arche UK.
