David has worked in the leisure industry for 25 years, specialising in the leisure, hotels, well-being, country club and health & fitness sectors. During this time a wealth of experience, contacts and expertise was gained in sales, marketing, operations and customer service.
Dave’s real passion is sales and how the industry can collectively help people who are new to exercise or those with existing goals to achieve them and join leisure facilities.
Guy Griffiths of GGFit Ltd
Guy describes himself as a Fitness Industry Revolution Consultant. He looks to question the status quo, help to facilitate change, and share and spread the word on member retention initiatives that work.
Guy spends his time defining retention policy, running interaction coaching workshops for staff, configuring member communication systems, and analysing data for clubs. His own personal goal is to make more people fitter and healthier by getting them to stick around at your health club.
Jenni McFaull of GymSales
Jenni McFaull (formerly Sullivan) started in health & fitness over 25 years ago. She has worked across a number of institutions and genres from the public sector in local authority, private sector with chains like Cannons and Holmes Place and as a consultant for the last 6 years to major brands including Snap Fitness. Jenni started in the industry as a gym instructor and worked her way up to National Sales Manager for a large female only chain in Australia. Her roles have also included Business Development Manager, Cluster Group Manager, Club Manager, and Sports Development Manager.
Jenni specialises in membership selling and the sales process. She will share her extensive knowledge of the industry, coupled with her understanding of B2C selling. For the last 10 years Jenni has been working in the Australian health & fitness market with huge success.
David is the Founder and Managing Director of Proinsight, the leisure sector’s leading mystery shopping company.
Focusing on the customer journey, David will be discussing some of the UK’s latest benchmarks, insights based on mystery shopping results from over 600 leisure facilities. Proinsight's benchmark reports cover the full sales process, as well as the critical first few interactions in clubs, and the leaving process as well.
