Slipstreamers Induction - Waiting List Children

You have received an invitation for your child(ren) to attend an induction and have confirmed availability to participate. You will now need to complete the process using our online booking system. Please kindly read all the information provided below so you are clear on what to expect.

Overview

Slipstreamers is a youth cycling club with a keen focus on the whole development of young people, working very hard to provide ongoing opportunities to our members as well as the wider cycling community. We are run ENTIRELY 100% by unpaid passionate Volunteers - teachers, plumbers, engineers, ceo's, directors, developers, housewives, house-husbands, lawyers, etc - fitting it all around busy daily lives, much of which extends well beyond the regular Saturday morning sessions.

Due to a surge in interest in cycling post the 2012 Olympics, Slipstreamers has grown in popularity and size ever since; and consequently, a waiting list has been operational for a few years now to manage intake. As of October 2015, this has been closed and remains so until further notice whilst we work through the names of children still on this list.

Your Child's February Induction - Next Steps & Booking Process

Safety is our number one priority above all else, and we need to ensure the correct rider to Coach ratios are observed at all times. With large numbers of children of varying abilities across the circuit every Saturday, we must manage these vigilantly. Therefore, all inductions are planned in and administered very carefully so as not to impact current groups, ensure sufficient Coach coverage, and facilitate smooth transition from induction to our Bronze development group which is where ALL new riders commence their Slipstreamers journey. 

As you can imagine, all this is immensely time consuming. Yet the Volunteers do so with great care and diligence to detail, doing our very best to take into consideration everything you need to know and share that with you in advance.

Please help us out by reading all the guidance and following the steps noted below ...

• Step 1: Ensure you have read ALL the information provided on the booking pages here BEFORE you book a place so you are clear on what to expect on the day, what to bring with you, the rules of participation and so on.
• Step 2: Once you are clear and happy to proceed, scroll to the top of this page to make your booking. A parent / guardian will need to complete this simple online form for their own child/ children in their care. We will not accept bookings from anyone other than a legal guardian with parental responsibility for a child.
• Step 3: Select the quantity of "tickets" per number of children you are booking for and follow the instructions on the screen to complete the booking. Only book a place for the named child(ren) in your invitation - we will reject any bookings made for names that are not on our current waiting list.
  
• Step 4: Upon completion, you will receive a confirmation email - please ensure you read this. You will also receive a PDF ticket to print and bring along with you. Do also keep an eye out for any further updates after booking.
  
• Step 5: Note this in your diary and we'll see you at 9am on the 04 February 2017!
  

Important Notes

• The booking deadline is 02 February 2017 at 10pm.
• If you have not booked by the deadline, unfortunately your child will not be able to participate and will be moved back onto the waiting list and invited to the next induction.
  
• Double check your email address BEFORE you submit your booking – if you enter this incorrectly, your email confirmation will not be delivered.
• If you have booked and need to cancel afterwards, please let us know ASAP and as far in advance as possible so we can free up these slots for other children on the waiting list.
• There is nothing to pay in advance or on the day for the induction session.
