Bushcraft Wild Camp 29th July 2017

Saturday July 29th – Sunday July 30th 2017
Baby Moon Camp

Event description

An overnight bushcraft experience where you will sleep under a tarp, cook on the campfire, produce useful items, learn new skills and connect with the woodland. Meeting at 11am on Saturday we will provide you with some equipment before we walk the ten minutes into the wood to the campsite. After a quick introduction to the camp and your packed lunch we will introduce you to the tools which you will be using and guide you through the first activity. Once this is complete we will set up our shelters for the night and then have the first fire making workshop. We will need to build a fire to cook our evening meal over, and then we shall explore the wood before settling down around the campfire for the evening.

In the morning we will cook breakfast and then be straight into the second fire workshops, as well as considering how we can source safe drinking water. There will be time available to practise any skills or finish any carving projects you have started. Once we have had lunch we will strike camp and return to civilization at about 2pm Sunday.
