Ted Lewis was a Bartonian who achieved a Diploma in Graphic Art to Hull's College of Arts and Crafts 1956/60, later being appointed as Animation Clean-up Supervisor on The Beatles' Yellow Submarine. He wrote 9 novels including Jack's Return Home which became the celebrated hard bitten criminal film, Get Carter. He was a talented self-taught pianist, playing in Unity Jazz Band.
The Tour Guide includes Nick Turner, Ted's friend in early life.
You will be given the opportunity to purchase the NEW edition of Ted Lewis' biography, enjoy refreshment at the excellent Old School Canteen and also explore the historic Wilderspin National School.

Queen Street School is off the High Street Barton upon Humber. Some limited Parking is available at Wilderspin School or on the Queen Street or High Street (no restrictions on a Sunday). There is a large public car park app 400 yards from the school on Cottage Lane which is the opposite side of High Street from Queen Street
