We're guessing that everyone has heard the unfortunate news about Hippo Beer Ltd and the cancellation of the Great Scottish Beer Celebration. The loss of the festival is a huge blow to the Glasgow beer scene & it's not one we're willing to take on the chin, so instead we're going to roll up our sleeves and host our own festival: Beer Makes Glasgow.

Two things we know so far:

1) Current ticket-holders, we got you! Drop us a line (beermakesglasgow@gmail.com) with your ticket details & we’ll get back to you.

2) None of this will be for profit, all money left after we cover costs will be donated to The Drumchapel Food Bank, the only charity of it’s kind in Scotland operating independently & the only Food Bank to offer Emergency Drop-Ins for crisis clients.

There are still a lot of details that are up in the air, but over the course of the next week we'll figure out the best way to honour the Feast of St Augustus and the last two awesome years of the Great Scottish Beer Celebration.
