The 10th Sunrise to Sunset Challenge 2017

Entering its 10th year The Annual Sunrise to Sunset Challenge will be at The Shrewsbury Cycle Track in Sundorne, SY1 4RQ. Run as far as you can between Sunrise and Sunset – be it a 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon, or Ultra, get your lap card stamped every lap and have fun.

There will be music, food and drinks galore to keep you entertained during the day and to push you towards your end of year challenge target.

The idea of the race is for runners to run as far as the can (or want to) between the hours of Sunrise (8.20) and Sunset (16.01), the winner being the runner who records the furthest distance. The race follows a purpose built 1KM cycle track. From past experience this is a fast course and of course the big hill from Lightmoor has been flattened out some what!

We have been involved in event management for over 11 years working on all race distances from 5K’s right up to Ultra Marathons. We are actively involved in the course build of numerous OCR’s that take place in the UK. When we launched How Hard Can it be Events, we wanted to make running events fun and put on events that we would want to take part in ourselves. That is why we have worked hard to host smaller, friendlier events, where people can relax and get to know people and enjoy the whole running experience. We think this philosophy is what makes us stand out from the crowd.
