Maria Nicol - Vocal

Originally from Russia, Maria has a specialist music education. In 2011 Maria completed her studies at the prestigious Russian Academy of Music by the name of Gnesin's in Moscow as a Jazz performer, ensemble lead singer and vocal teacher (comparable to British BA Honours degree). She has previously performed with Moscow's leading orchestras, Jazz bands, combos and vocal a'cappella groups. Maria has successfully competed in vocal competitions and participated in Jazz festivals in UK, Russia, Ukraine, Italy and Norway. She loves both Jazz and pop-soul genres, plus French music - Chanson.

Ekaterina Shetliffe – Piano

As a graduate of Dargomizsky College of Music (Tula, Russia), Ekaterina has enjoyed the career of a concert pianist, giving regular solo performances and accompanying leading vocalists and instrumentalists in the South West, appearing in various respected venues, including Dartington Space, The Dartmouth Flavel and the Dawlish Arts Festival.

Lee Shetliffe – Piano

Lee haы been playing piano since the age of 12. He initially studied classical as he believed this is necessary to have a good basic musical knowledge, but soon discovered his passion for improvisation. Even as a schoolboy Lee was playing at school/church concerts, hospitals, residential homes, restaurants, in fact; anywhere he could get his hands on a piano! Although a keyboard synthesiser is often necessary for today's audience, Lee still prefers to perform on a real piano without utilising the 'gimmicks' built in today's electronic keyboards.He would name his influences as piano giants such as Art Tatum, Oscar Peterson, Carmen Cavallaro, Erroll Garner and many, many more. He likes to feel his playing style echoes some of these great pianists.
