Discover what it takes to be a military sniper during this full-day, veteran-led experience, in Norfolk.

This action-packed, full-day experience, in Norfolk, will immerse you in the high-stakes world of military snipers. Join veteran instructors for a day’s theory and practical exercises – and learn what it takes to be an elite marksman.

The experience takes place at the UK’s only sniper activity centre, in Thetford, Norfolk. On arrival, you’ll be greeted by the lead instructor, who’ll begin by briefing the group. After a PowerPoint presentation outlining sniper history and training methods, you’ll head outside for the first practical exercises. Throughout the day, these will cover rifle range practice, firing positions, methods of movement, stalking, camouflage and concealment. Furthermore, to ensure you look and feel the part, you’ll be issued with a replica L96 BB sniper rife (with a range of 100m), safety equipment, genuine military clothing and a custom-made ghillie suit. The course is based on authentic combat training methods and will end with competitive sniper vs. sniper games.

Each participant will receive a certificate of attendance before they leave too.

Who can take part?

• Anyone over 15 can take part, under 16's must be accompanied by a full paying adult.

Kit provided

• Replica L96 BB sniper rifle which shoots out to 100m.

• Genuine military sniper smock.

• Military trousers or coveralls. 

• Custom made ghillie suit.

• Safety equipment - Goggles, mask and gloves.

• Free tea and coffee.

What do you need to bring

Please bring suitable footwear - Boots with ankle protection and a suitable colour (black or brown).

Enough fluids and food for the day. We do have an onsite snack bar serving hot food however this is a few minutes walk from the Combat Sniper HQ and will only be available at lunch time.
