Dates back over 100 years to the time when Chinese immigrants settled here, attracted to the island’s burgeoning mining industry. Their Chinese heritage is preserved in the SinoPortuguese architecture of the old town’s shop houses, temples and small restaurants.
Walk through the twin Phuket shrines where you will learn your fortune by sticks and wooden blocks. Continue to Chalong Temple, the largest temple in Phuket. The most recent building on the grounds of Wat Chalong is a 60 meters tall 'Chedi' sheltering a splinter of bone from Buddha. Opportunity with monk blessing at one of the oldest temple in Phuket.
