Join us for a lively debate on the role of the media in understanding health issues, with a panel of invited guests from the worlds of journalism, academia and public health advocacy.

You will have the opportunity to put your questions to the panel and explore a range of opinions on the impact of health issues and related research as reported by the media.

Confirmed panel members so far include: Clint Witchalls (Health Editor of The Conversation) Helen Puttick (Health Editor of The Times), Kevin McKenna (former Deputy Editor of the Herald and Executive Editor of the Daily Mail in Scotland), Dr Shona Hilton (Deputy Director of the MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit) and Professor Linda Bauld (Professor of Health Policy University of Stirling and Chair of Behavioural Research for Cancer Prevention, Cancer Research UK). The discussion will be moderated by Pennie Taylor, a freelance journalist and broadcaster who specialises in health matters.
