Event description

Fresh from their final year at Plockton Music School, musicians Jem Irving (Accordian), Jared Muir (Guitar/Bass), James Bauld (Flute/Whistle), Steven Stark (Percussion/Kit) and Lewis McLaughlin (Fiddle/Bass) perform at the Festival Marquee, Creebridge House Hotel, with support from local singer/songwriter Catriona McGhie.

Situated in Plockton on the West Coast of Scotland, Plockton Music School is the National Centre of Excellence in Traditional Music and offers top class tuition and an all-round, in-depth experience in traditional music, which includes individual tuition, groupwork, workshops and masterclasses, performing, recording, and the history and background of the music.

We're delighted to welcome musicians from Plockton Music School to perform at the festival this year as it's a superb school and the level and standard of musicians, composition and performance is always very high.

Catriona McGhie is a 22 year old musician from Stranraer who has recently released her debut album, Òran. Having just completed her honours year in Popular Music at Perth College UHI, Catriona has returned to Stranraer to promote her album and focus on a career working in the events sector.
