Event description

The Wyggeston Lodge will be hosting a free tour of Freemasons’ Hall, Leicester for University of Leicester students and staff.

Just up from the Railway station on London Road in Leicester is Freemasons’ Hall which is a Grade II listed Georgian building. We are opening the doors and allowing the public to see behind it’s facade. For those who have any interest in Freemasonry at all, has any questions they want answering, or just wants to see inside the wonderful building, the free tour is the perfect opportunity to find out more.

The tour will give access to the Masonic Rooms, with senior members on hand, to hear of the symbolism, history and the practice of Freemasonry. There will be likewise a chance to learn more about the Masonic charity work in the local community.

Freemasons’ Hall is also home to one of the finest Masonic Museums in the country, with artefacts dating back to the 17th Century.
