Men's Breakfast: Bed of nails with Ian Moore

“I want to lay you down on a bed of roses, for tonight I sleep on a bed of nails. I want to be just as close as the Holy Ghost is and lay you down on bed of roses” (Bon Jovi, “Bed of Roses”).  There are times when life appears to become a “bed of nails”.  However the Bible teaches, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds” (James 1:2).  Come and explore how this can be; turning pain to praise, and seeing how through severe testing a testimony is borne!”  In Tony Campolo’s words “It’s Friday but Sunday’s coming!”. Dare to believe it!

Ian is a Pastor, Mission Leader, Speaker and Prison Chaplain. From a humble background, God’s grace has revealed the enormous untapped potential dormant in every human being.  This potential becomes realised as we comprehend and accept God’s transforming love. He takes the broken-hearted and weak, “A bruised reed he will not break, and a smouldering wick he will not snuff out” (Matthew 12:20).  This is Ian’s experience!
