Praying with the Bible

Join us in an enriching day of engaging with the Bible through prayer as we explore two ancient practices that have stood the test of time.  One is lectio divina, a way of praying through a passage from Scripture that helps it sink into our hearts and minds, and the other is gospel contemplation, a way to engage with the stories of Jesus imaginatively.  We’ll have time to try out these practices during the day, both of which can be a means of encountering the God who loves to communicate with his people.

Amy Boucher Pye is a writer and speaker who is the author of the award-winning Finding Myself in Britain (Authentic Media, 2015) and The Living Cross (BRF, 2016). She loves writing Bible reading notes, including for Living Light and Our Daily Bread. She holds an MA in Christian Spirituality from Heythrop College, University of London (2017).
