MVLS Staff and students currently involved in public engagement with schools and young people, or those who wish to learn more, are invited to attend the

MVLS Public Engagement Gathering - Schools

Tuesday 19 March 2019 from 2 – 3.30pm

Hosted by the MVLS Engagement Team this event will provide an opportunity to focus on engaging schools and young people with MVLS research through a mix of presentations, discussions and networking.

Our objectives will be to:

• Introduce the current range and value of MVLS Schools engagements
• Review requirements and training opportunities to support engaging with schools – Laura-Alexandra Smith
  Science Connects - STEM Ambassadors
• Highlighting UofG priorities and focus in terms of schools engagement and the role of Widening Participation team - Dr Neil Croll, Head of Widening Participation
• Examples of current schools engagements from across MVLS
• Open discussion – how to select schools, report and record schools activities, developing suitable activities, and what further MVLS support and resources would be helpful.
