1. The Summit Series - September 2019

1.1 Open competition for all adult P.E lovers.

1.2 Consists of a fun, fair playing field, encouraging good sportsmanship, camaraderie and of course a thriving, supportive community.

2. GENERAL RULES

2.1 To participate in The Summit Series, every participant must agree to any and all terms and conditions including, without limitation, the assumption of risk, publicly release all of which are incorporated herein by reference, and to the decisions of Fell CrossFit which are final and binding in all respects.

2.2 Participants must be at least 16 years old as of 14th September 2019.

2.3 All participants agree that photographs and videos taken and submitted to the Fell CrossFit Facebook page and Instagram may be used for publicity purposes for current and future events.

2.4 All participants agree to compete in a sportsman like manner.

2.5 A non-refundable fee of £50 will be charged per team place. Your place cannot be transferred to an alternative team in your place.

2.6 Participation will be confirmed on receipt of registration fee and based on availability.

3. WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

3.1 I agree to abide by all competition rules and directions issued by the competition organisers.

3.2 I acknowledge that participation [particularly during exercise related activities], involves a risk of injury or even death from various causes including overexertion, equipment failure, dehydration, accidents with other persons and other causes.

3.3 I accept all risks necessarily flowing from my participation, which could result in loss of life or permanent injury. Accordingly, I release all persons, companies or corporations associated directly or indirectly with the conduct of the competition from all claims demands and proceedings arising out of my participation and I hereby indemnify them against all liability (including liability for their negligence and the negligence of others) for injury or damage arising out of or connected with my participation in this competition. This release shall extend to and include Fell CrossFit and their preferred partners, sponsors, volunteers and judges appointed for the duration of competition, the owners, licensees, and occupiers of land upon which the competition or any part of it is conducted, any statutory body or local authority having control over any land upon which the competition or any part of it is conducted or which is involved directly or indirectly with the competition in any manner whatsoever. This release and indemnity continues forever and binds my heirs, executors, personal representatives and assigns.

3.4 I consent to receiving medical treatment that the competition organisers and/or their preferred partners and/or the facility I am undertaking the workout at think desirable during or after any individual event organised as a part of the competition.

3.5 Safety precautions undertaken by the organisers and the competitions preferred partners are a service to me and other competitors but are not a guarantee of safety.

3.6 I am fully responsible for the security of my personal possessions at any event or place I attend associated with the competition.

3.7 I acknowledge that by reason of circumstances beyond the control of the competition directors, it may become necessary or desirable to change the format of the competition, and if that occurs, I consent to the changes and I agree that each and every one of the conditions herein set out shall apply to that changed competition.

3.8 If I elect to pull out of the competition or I am unable to compete due to flood, earthquakes or other “acts of God” conditions in my area, I understand that entry fee will not be refunded.

3.9 I consent to the competition organisers using my name, image and likeness before during or after the competition for competition promotional broadcasting or reporting purposes to the media.

3.10 I acknowledge that I have been cleared by a registered medical practitioner to undertake physical activity. I further acknowledge that should I not have attained a medical clearance that I declare that I am physically fit and healthy enough to undertake physical activity the course of this competition.

3.11 I acknowledge that I am over 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to sign and understand the contract.

3.12 Competition organisers and/or directors have the right to refuse entry to any person or party without notice and without requirement for the reasoning of such refusal being provided to the person or party.

3.13 I acknowledge that completion of this entry form means I have read all the information provided and agree to the terms and conditions contained herein.

4. JUDGES, JUDGING AND OFFICIALS

4.1 Competitors will be performing the workouts under the observation of a Judge.

4.2 Judges will be provided by Fell CrossFit.

4.3 Judges and event officials have the authority to stop or suspend a participant at any point in the competition if he or she feels the participant is at risk or serious injury to themselves or others.

5. GDPR

5.1 Your personal information is secure and will not be used for purposes beyond the administration of this event. You reserve the right to opt out of any communications. We will not share your details with any third parties.
