Have you ever fancied taking up a musical instrument? Well, this is the perfect opportunity to give it a go. The Tin Whistle is a great instrument to get started on because of it's simplicity and affordability. The workshop will be run by All Ireland Champion whistler Claire Mann and a regular workshop leader at the festival. She'll be covering the very basic techniques of playing the Tin Whistle including how to produce a nice tone, fingering and a simple tune. Tin whistles will be provided. Go on, give it a try.

The Vault Arts Centre is located on Victoria Street in the former Royal Bank of Scotland building in the centre of Newton Stewart, between Avocet and Boots Chemists.
Parking is available at the Riverside Car Park on Riverside Road, just a short walk away. We would encourage all attendees to park in the car park as opposed to Victoria Street to ensure that congestion is kept to a minimum.
