Behaviour Management Course:

What leads to inappropriate behaviour and how to manage it – suitable for parents and practitioners  working with children with autism and other communication needs

Course outline:

·         What is behaviour?

·         What is behaviour management?

·         Principles of behaviour theory and the SCERTS model

·         Identifying triggers and understanding the functions of behaviour

·         How to prevent inappropriate behaviour

·         How to respond to inappropriate behaviour

Learning outcomes:

By the end of this course you will:

Understand behaviour management principles and how the SCERTS model can help

Understand what may be the reason(s) for your child’s behaviour

Take away practical strategies for preventing and dealing with inappropriate behaviour
