“The Cookbook Kitchen Club” at TOFS Development kitchen from Julie Friend, MasterChef winner

This Autumn, Julie Friend will be running a series of Supperclubs in TOFS Development kitchen based on her favourite cookbooks.

“Each event will feature a book which has a place in my heart, due to a story, a memory, a connection or just a favourite dish or writer. The whole menu will come from the one book and there will be at least one demo or hands-on opportunity. You may be familiar with the book or you may want to discover something, or somebody, unknown.

You might cook, you may just love to eat. But sitting around a table, making new friends over delicious food will definitely be your thing.

I hope the guests will leave the evening feeling inspired, enthused and, of course, full”

First up, on Wednesday October 3rd, is the classic French Provincial Cooking by Elizabeth David. The first book that Julie remembers seeing her mother studying whilst taking her Cordon Bleu Cookery course.

Canapes on arrival / Three courses £35 per person. 7.30pm start time. This is a BYO event.
