Event description

MVLS Public Engagement Gathering -  Public and Patient Involvement

Thursday 21 November 2019 from 2 – 3.30 pm

Come along to learn more about the practical aspects of how to involve patients and the public in your research - and to hear from those already involved.

MVLS Public Patient Involvement and Engagement lead, Tracy Ibbotson will host this Gathering and there will be opportunities to hear directly from some actively involved patients.

  • Tracy will introduce PPI in research and update on the PPI resources available to staff across the University.

  • Marie Kotzur is a researcher who will discuss how has she involved patients in her work about prevention and early diagnosis of cancer.

  • Christine Milligan and Tom Haswell are both lay members of the MVLS PPIe steering group.  They will be able to talk about their experiences of  being involved in research and answer your questions.

This is an excellent opportunity to discuss your own patient and public involvement activities or ideas. There will be plenty of time for Q&As with refreshments and structured networking opportunities.

All welcome.

Any questions please contact MVLS Engagement Team.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Alison Caldecott and Dr Becky Hothersall   MVLS Engagement Team
