Event description

Demonstrating the impact your research makes in the ‘real world’ is an increasingly important aspect of your academic career, recognised and rewarded by funders and the University. Peer support and feedback is an effective way to generate fresh ideas to develop your impact plans. Join our impact community for local, cross-disciplinary peer support with coffee and cake provided!

We are running Research Impact Café sessions open to University of Glasgow Phd students and staff across all Colleges. The first of the cafe sessions for this academic year is taking place on Tuesday, 12 November (1:30-3:30pm) at the Gilchrist Café.

In this cafe there will be the opportunity to discuss your impact plans (we recommend using the template: download from the website), with a focus on channels for engagement and the challenges of working with your research users/beneficiaries. If required, we can also arrange a peer review for ‘Pathways to impact’ grant application statements (let us know when you sign up).

Guidance and resources for research impact can be accessed on: https://www.gla.ac.uk/myglasgow/ris/researchimpact/guidanceandresources/

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact  Dr Samantha Oakley (Samantha.Oakley@glasgow.ac.uk) or Dr Bhoomi Gor (Bhoomi.gor@glasgow.ac.uk)
