MVLS Public Engagement Gathering – Community Engagement

Community engagement -  “what’s it all about”? 

Dr Claire Bynner, Research Fellow in Public Policy, in the School of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Glasgow has a wealth of expertise public participation. At this event she will offer an introduction to Community engagement for those keen to learn more including:

• Communities: What are they and how to engage them on different levels?
• Who to engage, how to map the public and which communication patterns should you use?
• The Three Big Challenges of Community Engagement and how to tackle them.
• Top Tips for setting up a successful Community Engagement strategy and process design.

The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session. 

With open discussions, refreshments and networking opportunities this is an excellent opportunity to discuss your own community engagement activities or ideas.
