Italy - Gibraltar

Magnificent scenery, live volcanoes, well-preserved relics of early civilisations, bustling cities full of character, fantastic food, and a laid-back approach to the pace of life are typify this voyage around the Mediterranean. Join us in 2020 when Yacht Songbird will be departing from Italy and sailing towards the famous port of Gibraltar, This will be a true sailing adventure where we plan there route based on the weather, we will take 12 days to complete our voyage stopping off in many ports en route including.

Palma
Ibiza

Ports of callLa SpeziaLa Spezia

La Spezia is a port city in Liguria, Italy. Its 1800s maritime arsenal and the Technical Naval Museum, with ship models and navigational instruments, attest to the city’s seafaring heritage. The hilltop St. George’s Castle houses an archaeological museum with artifacts from prehistory to the Middle Ages. The nearby Amedeo Lia Museum exhibits paintings, bronze sculptures and illuminated miniatures in a former convent.

The island of Corsica is located in the Mediterranean Sea to the Southeast of the French mainland and to the west of the Italian Peninsula with a landscape of stunning cliffs, crystal clear turquoise waters and spectacular sandy beaches. Its capital Corte is dominated by a hilltop fortress overlooking a tiny warren of cobbled streets.

SardiniaSardinia

Sardinia is the second largest island in the Mediterranean Sea after Sicily and boasts a rugged landscape, incredibly clear seas and some of the finest beaches anywhere in the world.

MahonMahon

Mahón, or Maó, is the capital of the Spanish island of Menorca. It’s known for its British-style Georgian houses and sheltered harbor. Santa María Church, with an ornate 19th-century organ, sits on central Plaça de la Constitució. Next to the church, the city hall has a Renaissance facade and a clock donated by the island’s first British governor. The Menorca Museum displays art and exhibits on the island's history.

PalmaPalma

Palma is a popular holiday destination and also the capital of Majorca and is located in the Western Mediterranean; The Gothic Santa María cathedral dominates the skyline overlooking the bay of Palma. Other famous landmarks include the Almudaina a Moorish-style Arab fortress converted to a royal residence and Bellver Castle is a medieval fortress with a distinctive circular shape. Palma has wonderful shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and nightlife.

IbizaIbiza

Best known for its lively nightlife Ibiza is one of the Balearic Islands, despite its reputation Ibiza boasts numerous quiet villages, crystal waters, sandy coves and beaches, yoga retreats and rugged coastline. 

GibraltarGibraltar

The overseas territory of Gibraltar is located at the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula northeast of the Strait of Gibraltar and is  dominated by the Rock of Gibraltar, a 426m-high limestone ridge. Gibraltar is steeped in military history and boasts many fine attractions and museums as well as great shopping and many fine bars and restaurants.
