Engaging with Government and Parliament as a researcher can help shape and change policy and the policy agenda.  Kezia Dugdale, Director of John Smith Centre and former Scottish Labour Party leader will give advice on feeding into policy and the political arena and how the John Smith Centre can support your research into politics and public service.

Professor Sabina Siebert of the Adam Smith Business School will give an overview of her experience of being seconded to the UK Parliament and Scottish Parliament as an Academic Fellow and how this has enabled her research to influence policy.

 The event  will start with a buffet lunch at 12 noon, with presentations beginning at 12.30pm, followed by Q&A

The session is  designed to be interactive, so please  bring questions, discussion points or suggestions from your own research and KE activities.
