Campfire Cocktails bitters online tasting

So far in our Campfire cocktail online masterclasses we’ve covered martinis and negronis. Now it’s time to investigate the world of cocktail bitters. Most people have seen or heard of Angostura Bitters, the little bottle of bitter liquid with the oversized paper label, but at the distillery we’re huge fans of Bitter Union cocktail bitters which are made in Hampshire by Tom Moore.

Whilst they are called bitters and do have a bitter taste the three cocktails we've created are not bitter at all. Our Red Admiral cocktail combines ruby port, spiced orange bitters and apple juice. Bitter About Vesper uses lemon, hops and herbs bitters with Lillet Blanc and sugar syrup and Old Tom Sawyer uses dashes of aromatic bitters, spiced orange bitters, lime juice and sugar syrup – a total of 28 dashes in this cocktail! Not forgetting they all include Campfire Gin.

We shall be pre-mixing the three cocktails and will deliver them to your door. Tom will be joining us for the Zoom tutored tasting and will tell you more about how he makes his bitters. You’ll also receive a little tin of botanicals and instructions on how to make your own bitters!

When booking there’s two options to choose from – a standard pack and a double pack. A standard pack (£30 inc postage) will include 3 x 75ml pre-mixed Campfire Gin/Bitter Union cocktails – this is enough for a larger taster serve for one person or two people to share and taste mini samples of each. The double pack (£45 inc postage) will include two of each cocktail (6 x 75ml cocktails) so you can each enjoy larger taster serves or share between four people (logging in from the same household).

If you are booking for friends or family who will be logging into the event from a different location please make a separate booking rather than share the Zoom link. This will enable us to keep a more accurate track of the number of bookings.
