From Plot to Plate Workshop - 26th November 2020

Free workshop for adults living in Somerset whose mental or physical health has suffered as a result of the Covid-19 lockdown.

Thursday November 26th 2020
Magdalen Farm

Event description

Magdalen is a working organic farm set in the glorious countryside of Dorset & Somerset.  At the heart of our farm is an education centre from which we offer activities and delicious meals.  Our aim is to encourage as many people as possible from all walks of life to enjoy the great outdoors.

This FREE workshop is open to adults living in Somerset who feel they have struggled with their mental or physical health during the Covid-19 lockdown. During the workshop we will work with the kitchen team to perfect your bread baking skills, gain inspiration for healthy yet simple recipes and get hands on in the veg garden to learn more about growing your own at home.

The workshop will be set up to promote social distancing and other Covid secure measures. Each workshop will therefore have a maximum of 6 people attending.

Refreshments are provided throughout the day. For lunch you are welcome to eat what you have made during the morning, or bring your own packed lunch.

This project is fully funded by Somerset Skills and Learning (SS&L), and so there is a small amount of paperwork to complete during the workshop. Each adult will be allowed to attend one workshop under the funding agreement.

If you have any questions at all, please contact Dan on 01460 30144 or by emailing dan@magdalenfarm.org.uk
