The researcher development concordat: a US RDTC policy forum

Supporting researchers in uncertain times

Thursday, 10th December 2020

Event description

This policy forum will bring together senior research leaders, funders, researchers and those who support researchers.  We will consider the role of institutions and funders in implementing the September 2019 Researcher Development Concordat, how we support researchers during uncertain times and how we ensure a sustainable research talent base in future. The policy landscape is extremely complex and we will use the forum to identify priorities for support and collaboration across Scotland.

This event is being run by the Universities Scotland Researcher Development and Training Committee, in collaboration with UKRI and the Scottish Funding Council. It will involve virtual plenary sessions and breakout discussions. Participation is by invitation via the US RDTC and US RKEC committees. We invite participation from both of these committees, as well as the US Research Commercialisation Directors Group and researchers themselves who are active within their institutions and interested in contributing to national policy discussions.
