In this weeks webinar we are joined by Michelle Russell of the SIA

The good work of the vast majority of security businesses is being undermined by some companies who use illegal practices or bend the rules to take work away from businesses who are working correctly.

Michelle will explain what the SIA are doing to combat these organisations, and the people in businesses that don’t follow or try to get round the rules and ask what more can be done? She will discuss partnerships with other enforcement agencies and how legitimate businesses can assist the SIA in this work.

The discussion will include the role and attitudes of Buyers, sub-contracting, the position of individual security operatives, raising business standards as a differentiation tool, as well as enforcement procedures and the influence of social media.

Michelle will challenge the industry to share more information with the SIA and ask whether the current compliance strategies employed by the SIA go far enough.
