On the first weekend of September, The Barn at Falconhurst will be hosting the inaugural 'Big Cheese Weekend'! The Barn has teamed up with some great local talent to showcase some of the best local cheeses and present some cool ways in which to use them - this won't be your standard cheesy experience. There will be a four course menu with wines to match - it's going to be delicious! 

Alex Kiely, a cheese wizard from Bath will be coming to shed some knowledge on all things cheese - we at The Barn have known Alex for a long time and never get bored of him serenading us with factoids and theories about cheeses from up and down the country. We will also have Tim French, a big cheese in the wine industry, pairing the courses with some lovely French wines and also giving a little talk on them. Tim has been in the wine business for over 20 years and truly knows his stuff - we're very curious to see what he comes up with. In the kitchen we will joined by 'le grand fromage', Lotte Andrews, a super talented local chef (and potter!) who has been on our radar for a while and we cant wait to see how she manipulates some local cheeses to create some banging dishes. 

We hope that you will enjoy the evening and most importantly feel as if you've left with a little more love for cheese culture in this country. If not, then I suppose we'll have to try harder next time!
