Event description


This 30 minutes lunch and learn session will cover the following ebooks resources that you have access to via your NHS OpenAthens login:

Oxford MedicineOnline - access to an extensive collection of eBooks including the Oxford Textbook of Medicine, the latest Oxford Medical Handbooks  and Specialty Training series. Also contain over 85,000 images, diagrams & charts, including over 2,000 videos.

Proquest eBooks Central-  Over 150,000 books are available which you can read online, print, copy and download to devices.  This platform covers a wide range of materials across all subject areas e.g. Rook's Textbook of Dermatology, Brocklehurst's, texts on mentoring and RevalidationHow to read a paper and your subject of interest.

Kortext – access to 100+ special NHS ebook collections. Some of the examples of titles are:

  • Acute and Critical Care Nursing at a Glance
  • Asthma, COPD, and Overlap syndrome
  • Can I tell you about Gender Diversity?
  • Caring for People with Dementia
  • Essentials of Management for Healthcare Professionals
  • How to Read a Paper the Evidence-based medicine and Healthcare

Please note that you will need anOpenAthens account to access the resources.  If you don't have an account, the Library Team will be able to register you for one.

Once you have submitted your booking, the Library Team will send you a link to MS Teams Calendar invite.
