‘Each year, at Walthamstow Hall, we run a Specialist Applications Evening where we invite expert outside speakers to introduce students (and their parents) to the additional requirements of applications for institutions and courses which fall outside of the usual UCAS process. These ‘specialist applications’ include those for: Oxford and Cambridge Universities, American institutions, courses such as Medicine, Architecture, Drama and Music. The evening also provides information on how to apply for Higher Level Apprenticeships.’

We will run the event on Microsoft Teams - all you need to provide is your name and email, then we will send you a link to the event, and you can attend (virtually) as many or as few of the sessions as you wish.

Dates to be confirmed, but provisionally, we will run these sessions on November 9th:

- Oxbridge

- US applications

- Apprenticeships

On the second evening, held on the 10th November, there will be sessions on:

- Medicine (and linked careers)

- Architecture

- Creative options - Music and Drama

There will be an opportunity on both evenings to learn more about life in the Sixth Form at Walthamstow Hall - this will be held between 7 and 7.30.

The evenings will run from 7.00 to 9.30 approximately. The speakers will deliver their talks for about 20 minutes and then have 10 minutes for Q&A. There will also be a chat running in each session, where our school staff can answer any immediate or straightforward questions.
