Starting that Conversation: Tackling Racist Microaggressions

Microaggressions are unfortunately extremely commonplace in our society, especially in regard to race. This is a course designed to identify and tackle the racist Microaggressions in day to day life. The course runs through terminology surrounding the topics of racism and microaggressions.

The course is designed to help participants to identify the different forms of microaggressions and the themes that exist within them. The aims are:

  • To feel confident recognising microaggressions
  • To feel confident talking about microaggressions
  • To understand the consequences of microaggressive and racist behaviour
  • To be a better ally to those victim to microaggressions

 The course runs between 1 and half to 2 hours and encourages discussion between peers. This is a safe space.

Please note that this course will take place in-person, on the University of Glasgow campus.
