What is reading comprehension?
- An introduction to the reading comprehension process.
- Exploring the challenges of understanding text faced by some children.
- Exploring how to identify children who are finding it hard to understand text.
- Understanding how to support children effectively.
Session 2:
Tuesday 28th February 2023, 9:30am - 3:30pm
Understanding and identifying reading comprehension difficulties in the classroom.
- Exploring research evidenced strategies that can be used to support children who find comprehension challenging.
Session 3:
Tuesday 28th March 2023, 9:30am - 12:30pm
Developing reading comprehension in the classroom.
- Exploring and sharing practical classroom ideas and strategies to support children with reading comprehension.
