CHRISTOPHER MACARTHUR-BOYD
Born and bred in Glasgow, Christopher Macarthur-Boyd is a rising star of Scottish stand-up. Christopher co-starred in two series of BBC Scotland’s Up For It. Other TV credits include hosting BBC Scotland’s The Comedy Underground. Christopher has also made appearances on BBC Scotland’s Breaking The News, BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Stands Up At The Fringe. and BBC Radio 4’s Fred at The Stand, as well as the podcast Evil Genius with Russell Kane. 2022 will see Christopher star in Comedy Central’s new stand-up series Comedy Central Live. Christopher has also worked across and has appeared on Frankie Boyle’s New World Order on BBC Two. Christopher also co-hosts the music comedy podcast Enjoy An Album.
An award winning stand-up, Christopher won Best Breakthrough Act at the 2019 Scottish Comedy Awards and was listed the 59th, on a list of 60, funniest person in Scottish history.
Christopher Macarthur-Boyd is also a hugely talented comedy writer, with pieces appearing in The Skinny, The National and Glasgow Times. In 2019 he made his debut as an author when his first short story was published by Speculative Books. Christopher’s TV writing credits include Dave’s Late Night Mash and 8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

Information
Monkey Barrel Comedy is situated in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town. Our rooms are located at the top end of Blair Street, just off the Royal Mile and can be easily accessed by Bus and Taxi from South Bridge or by foot from either Cowgate or the High Street.
As with many venues in the traditional and historical Old Town, some of our spaces have accessibility limitations. Please contact us in advance (via email to our Box Office at boxoffice@monkeybarrelcomedy.com) if you have any access requirements, so we can advise on the options available.
MB1 is at ground level and can be accessed via most wheelchairs with some adjustments made for you outside the venue. Please let us know in advance of buying a ticket (via the Box Office) so we can confirm and be prepared for your arrival. Because of the physical changes required outside of the venue, we cannot guarantee entry unless we are notified in advance.
MB3 and MB4 are accessed via a series of steps. If you are able to move over short distances, our team can assist and looking after any mobility equipment.
