Schedule of the day’s events.

8:00 – 9:00 a.m. Retreat sign in and breakfast

     9 – 9:30 Opening remarks and welcome !

 

9:30 – 10:15  Choose one of the following:

  1. Dr Robert Jamison, MD    - New treatment thoughts.
  2.  B. Dr Deborah Tyson, PhD    – “So What do I do with these feelings?”

 10:30 –11:15 Choose one of the following

     A.  Ed Brinson, LCSW   – “Can I cope?” – mindfulness as a skill
      B.    Judy Herman, LPC, MHSP  - “Can you trust me?” skills to build trust in a relationship. 

11:15 – 12:30 p.m. Lunch                                                                                                      

12:20 – 1:00 pm  - Keynote, Marya Hornbacher                                                         

1:15 – 2:00 Choose one of the following breakout sessions:

A.     Eileen Koesy, LPTA, ATRIC, CPR,  -“Relax, Relax, AiChi                                                                  B.     Angie Day, DBSA National, Chapter and Volunteer Services Director,  - topic to be announced.

  1.  2:15 – 3:45 Professional panel discussing, “How to get the most out of your appointment with your mental healthcare provider”. 

     Panel participants are, Dr Robert Jamison, MD, Dr Deborah Tyson, PhD, Ed Brinson, LCSW and Judy Herman, LPC, MHSP. After sharing their thoughts, they will answer questions.

     

    4:00 – 4:20 Motivational speaker, Bill Halbert PhD,  - “Don’t take yourself so seriously.”

     

    4:20 – 4:30 p.m. Closing.
