Event description
The ASC supports academic research and encourages the development of ideas for the advancement of risk and security management in the UK through the Lord Imbert Prize, named after one of our longest serving patrons, Lord Imbert of New Romney CVO QPM JP, former Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police and Lord Lieutenant of Greater London.
A judging panel, chaired by Lord Imbert, selects the three best submitted Master's theses on security or intelligence related subjects. Three finalists and their academic sponsors attend the awards luncheon where the winner is announced.
A drinks reception will be followed by a 3 course lunch with coffee and port at 1.00pm. Following the Awards Ceremony, a pay bar will be open until 4 pm when the event finishes.
HMS President is a Royal Navy shore establishment and home of the London based Royal Navy Reserve. It occupies a spectacular location on the bank of the River Thames overlooking Tower Bridge.
