We want everyone to enjoy themselves, and as such safety is our top priority. However, safety is also YOUR responsibility, and ALL riders are expected to keep safe by:
Signing on and wearing the number we provide you with for identification purposes. This must be visible at all times during the induction session.
Wearing a helmet whilst on a bike – no exceptions!
Wearing suitable gloves - during Winter long-fingered is best, during Summer short-fingered is fine.
Wearing appropriate clothing – it is currently cold so layer up, wear thick socks or overshoes, and ensure you aren’t wearing clothes that can get caught in spokes. Inductions will go ahead irrespective of the weather - if this changes you will be notified accordingly.
Bringing a working bike with which you are comfortable and familiar. Check this at home before you leave to ensure brakes etc. are fully functional.
Paying attention to what the volunteers and coaches are telling you during the briefing and the induction session.
Eating a healthy breakfast before the session - this is incredibly important.
Bringing along snacks and water for break times.
Reading the safety notices on our website here
All riders are expected to pay attention to and follow the Club Officials’ instructions during the session at all times. Any form of disrespect or refusal to do so may result in being asked to leave the group and not return.
All riders taking part in the induction need to have read the Rider Code of Conduct to ensure you know what is expected of you - click here to read this before the induction.
All parents/ guardians of riders also agree to abide by the Parent/ Guardian Code of Conduct - click here to read this before the induction. We appreciate your support in letting the Coaches get on with the business of coaching, and not interfering in this process.
NOTE: BY BOOKING A PLACE ON THIS INDUCTION PARENTS/ GUARDIANS CONFIRM THAT YOU HAVE READ AND AGREE TO THE ABOVE.
