Stress in the workplace costs the UK economy billions each year in lost productivity, and it costs individuals dearly in terms of health, relationships, wellbeing and quality of life. What does stress cost your business?
Supporting employee wellbeing is good for business. A European wide study by Deloitte in 2013 found that Return on Investment in employee mental wellbeing could be up to €13.62 for every euro spent.
How would your organisation benefit from happier, healthier staff?
Staff who feel stressed, exhausted, unhapy and undervalued will not be working at their best, are more likely to take time off from work due to ill health, to exhibit signs of ‘presenteeism’, and to seek more satisfactory employement elsewhere, or to strike out on their own. Organisations who demonstrate that they value their staff gain hugely in terms of loyalty, effectiveness and reduced absence rates.
As a manager or team leader, you bear the biggest burden of stress, with the buck stopping at your door and the crucial decisions resting on your shoulders. While you may be under the greatest amount of stress, it is important that you take care of your mental and physical health, and that you model good self care practices.
There are a wide range of practices and concepts that can be brought into your day, and your team leadership, that can reduce stress, develop resilience, and counteract the harmful impact that stress can have on both individual and organisational wellbeing.
In this one day workshop run by Yoga teacher and wellness coach Esther Nagle, you will be taught a range of skills and given a practical toolbox that will enable you to reduce your own stress, and to support staff within your organisation to manage theirs.
We will explore
You will receive a workbook which we will use through the session and which also contains space for further reflection and follow up ideas to deepen and embed your learning. You will also have the chance to arrange a follow up session to revisit and expand the practices covered.
Your ticket price includes a full day’s training, workbook, refreshments and a small lunch, and a ‘goody bag’ to take home with you.
Places are limited to 15 to ensure a comfortable, intimate experience, and costs just £150 for the day. An organisation can send two managers for just £200, allowing you to spread the knowledge even further through your organisation.
