Magdalen Farm

Event description

Magdalen is a working organic farm set in the glorious countryside of Dorset & Somerset.  At the heart of our farm is an education centre from which we offer activities and delicious meals.  Our aim is to encourage as many people as possible from all walks of life to enjoy the great outdoors.

Our short breaks day is aimed at children aged between 5 and 18 who have an additional need and is a great opportunity for mums, dads, brothers and sisters or indeed any family member to come along together and enjoy a fun time.

Become an “Explorer” for the day on our working farm.  Take a journey around our land, visiting the farm animals, feeding the pigs and collecting eggs from the chickens. As well as joining the Magdalen Adventure Trail where we will use our senses to tackle a variety of fun activities and create a momento to take home at the end of the day.  A personal Magdalen Explorer Certificate will be available to all. Also included is a tasty homecooked lunch with light refreshments throughout the day.

On-site we have 2 all-terrain wheelchairs to help those less able to get around the farm along with a dedicated "Changing place" (please bring your own hoist if required).

We will tailor the event to suit the needs of the individuals in the group so it is important you let us know in advance of any requirements you and your family may have.
