Information
EskFest benefits from being held in a beautiful, fairly remote location. The flipside of this is that getting here will need a bit of thought. See the map on the 'Contact' page on our website to have a look at where we are if you don't know already. By car, we strongly suggest avoiding the Hardknott and Wrynose passes and instead recommend routes over Birker Fell (still very steep & windy in places) and on the A595 coast road. You can get into Eskdale via train by arriving into Ravenglass and then taking the famous "la'al Ratty" mini steam train into Dalegarth station. Please note the Ratty does not operate on Sundays. We will have a regular shuttle bus service up and down the valley from the King George IV Inn right down to The Festival Field by the Woolpack Inn. The shuttle bus will cost £1 per journey and cannot to be booked in advance.
